About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring an entry-level InSite Field Chemist to support waste management operations at customer laboratories. The role involves handling, identifying, packaging, labeling, and preparing chemical waste for compliant storage and disposal, as well as maintaining records and using CHOICE waste management software. The position includes training and support, with opportunities for career growth and advancement. Safety is a top priority.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Valid driver's license.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a CDL Class B.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Nice To Haves

• Prior chemical handling experience or chemistry knowledge preferred.
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental Science is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make waste pickups at laboratories as needed.
• Package and label waste products and other materials.
• Identify unknown chemicals when encountered.
• Inspect staging, accumulation, and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping and compliance.
• Collect, segregate, and package waste chemicals for efficient and compliant disposal.
• Perform quality control of waste materials being stored and shipped.
• Complete required manifests and tracking paperwork.
• Use CHOICE waste management software to manage waste programs efficiently and accurately.
