About The Position

Plumb Supply Company is seeking a dependable person with a great attitude, attention to detail, and a team player mentality to join their North Cedar Rapids, IA team. Founded in 1946, Plumb Supply Company is a family-owned, Midwest-based distributor of Plumbing, HVAC, and PVF products, serving the needs of professional plumbing and heating contractors. With 32 locations across Iowa and Missouri, a large knowledgeable staff, and a large fleet of trucks, the company strives to deliver quality, innovation, and value to customers of every size. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday with overtime as required. Opportunities for growth and advancement within the company are available.

Requirements

Successful customer service experience and great communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and customers both in person and over the phone
Strong PC skills with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately
Must pass pre-employment testing (drug screen, background check, and driving record check)

Nice To Haves

Plumbing and/or HVAC knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

Consult with customers both in person and over the phone to analyze both current and future needs to determine the most appropriate level of service/sales
Demonstrate comprehensive company product knowledge to customers and effectively articulate company's competitive advantage
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Provide occasional order picking and miscellaneous warehouse duties, as the need arises
Provide occasional deliveries to customer's shops or jobsites
Other duties as assigned
