About The Position

Taylor Metal Products is seeking an outgoing, reliable, full-time, long-term team member for their Inside Sales position in Salem, OR. This role supports several outside sales staff and requires some construction knowledge, including sheet metal and roofing. The ideal candidate will have good communication and phone skills, be organized, and possess strong math and writing abilities. This position offers variety, with opportunities for learning and career development in a casual but fast-paced office environment. Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Experience with Microsoft Office and cloud-based computing
Typing skills and 10-key proficiency
Electronic file maintenance and tracking experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data
Good time management skills -- ability to maintain levels of productivity including backing-up other positions in the company
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Ability to quickly and accurately input customer orders into a cloud-based system
Multi-line phone skills
Must pass a background check and drug screening for safety-sensitive positions.

Nice To Haves

Some construction knowledge (including, but not limited to sheet metal, roofing, etc.)
College degree preferred
CRM software experience desired

Responsibilities

Generate new sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders and quotes, maintain complete and accurate records
