About The Position

We’re looking for an Inside Sales Representative to support and grow our Powertec and Ohio Electric Motors customer base. In this key role, you’ll serve as the primary contact for assigned accounts, helping customers get the information, support, and solutions they need—while contributing directly to our sales objectives. This position is based in Charlotte, NC and reports to the Product Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field + 2+ years inside sales experience in an industrial or technical field; OR Associate degree in business, marketing, or a related field + 4+ years inside sales experience in an industrial or technical field; OR 5+ years inside sales experience in an industrial or technical environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, customer‑centered approach.
  • Approximately 10% travel to customers, end users, and other company sites as required by business needs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture assigned customer accounts to deliver an exceptional, high‑quality customer experience.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and a solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Proactively reach out to customers about open orders, product needs, trends, and upcoming opportunities.
  • Process inquiries and prepare accurate, timely quotations—then follow through to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Support Customer Service with order entry and order management to keep fulfillment running smoothly.
  • Monitor sales trends and account activity to help meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Bring energy, enthusiasm, and customer focus to every interaction.
  • Offer insights and support during the annual sales planning process.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the team and business unit.
