About The Position

Join trak group in partnering with an industrial equipment manufacturer seeking an Inside Sales to serve as the primary sales contact for a standard line of technical products. This position combines inbound lead qualification, technical solution selling, outbound prospecting, proposal support, and opportunity management. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can ask effective discovery questions, understand customer applications, recommend appropriate equipment solutions, and manage sales opportunities through final sale or closure.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related sales experience.
• Experience with inside sales, technical sales, or a related customer-facing sales role.
• Proven ability to qualify prospects through effective questioning and active listening.
• Experience working within a defined sales process or methodology.
• Comfortable handling both inbound leads and outbound prospecting calls.
• Ability to conduct warm and cold sales outreach.
• Strong phone presence and ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
• Experience managing sales opportunities through the full sales cycle.
• CRM experience with accurate customer and opportunity data entry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to professionally present information to customers, employees, suppliers, and other groups.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary sales contact for inbound leads related to the company’s standard product line.
• Qualify inbound sales opportunities using an established sales process.
• Conduct customer discovery conversations to understand applications, requirements, and purchasing needs.
• Provide technical guidance to help customers identify the most appropriate equipment solution.
• Manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry through final sale or closure.
• Identify opportunities requiring more customized solutions and transition them to Regional Sales Managers.
• Provide clear introductions and detailed sales conversation summaries when transferring opportunities.
• Conduct outbound prospecting to current and previous customers throughout North America.
• Perform cold calling to trade show attendees, exhibitors, and prospects identified through marketing research.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Accurately maintain customer information, opportunities, activities, and follow-up details within the CRM.
• Support the Proposal team by preparing proposals for standard products as needed.
• Prepare equipment and system proposals for Regional Sales Managers on a case-by-case basis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Proposal, and other internal teams to move opportunities forward.
• Support trade shows, including booth setup, customer engagement, and teardown.
• Communicate professionally with customers, prospects, suppliers, and internal departments.
