About The Position
Taylor Metal Products is seeking an outgoing, reliable, full-time, long-term team member. This position supports several outside sales staff and requires some construction knowledge (including, but not limited to sheet metal, roofing, etc.) Good communication and phone skills are required. The employee must be organized and have good math and writing skills. This position offers much variety, with many opportunities to learn and develop your career. Casual but fast-paced office environment. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and serving customers. We are based in Salem, OR with satellite facilities in Washington and California. This position is for our Salem, OR office.
Requirements
- Construction knowledge (including, but not limited to sheet metal, roofing, etc.)
- Good communication and phone skills
- Organized
- Good math and writing skills
Responsibilities
- Generate new sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
- Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders and quote, maintain complete and accurate records
