About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual for an Inside Sales position to support Sales Team quoting and customer account activities. This role partners closely with Sales and collaborates with global Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Logistics, and Finance teams to drive the RFQ-to-quote process from intake through submission. Key responsibilities include reviewing RFQ requirements; creating and maintaining opportunities in EQI’s CRM/quoting system (Campfire); coordinating cross-functional inputs; completing technical assessments and cost evaluations; and developing pricing and commercial proposals. The position also supports forecasting, continuous improvement initiatives, and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Five or more years of experience preferred in quoting, inside sales/sales support, and/or technical cost estimating (metal products or manufacturing industry experience preferred).
  • Working knowledge of metal products, manufacturing processes, and applications; ability to evaluate technical requirements and translate them into accurate quote inputs.
  • Experience with CRM/quoting tools (Campfire preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a global, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting several Sales team members simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Own RFQ administration in Campfire from entry through submission, in partnership with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management and Operations. Follow up with cross-functional teams and escalate as needed to meet customer timelines. Manage handoff of complete commercial package during Award for Program Management to launch.
  • Create and maintain Campfire opportunities and records from Prospect through Production. Provide status updates, conduct data analysis, and prepare and present reports.
  • Facilitate and develop supplier, technical, timing, and commercial reviews and assessments to confirm assumptions, resolve gaps, and validate RFQs for completeness and accuracy.
  • Analyze cross-functional inputs to develop proposals aligned with our customers’ needs and current market factors that showcase EQI’s value proposition.
  • Use customer portals and direct communication to retrieve RFQ documents, manage clarifications, and submit quote documentation. Support Account Manager presentations.
  • Responsible for commercial and customer management for smaller “maintenance” customer accounts.
  • Report and analyze sales, quotations, and performance metrics; contribute to forecasting inputs and reviews.
  • Maintain HTS codes and tariff inputs in partnership with Logistics and Finance.
  • Drive quoting process improvements to reduce lead time, improve cross-functional efficiency, and increase accuracy.
  • Back up Account Managers for internal and external communications, as needed.
  • Support customer satisfaction through responsive communication and coordination (e.g., launch support, delivery readiness).
  • Support special projects (e.g., margin improvement, inventory reduction, should-cost model development).
