About The Position

Apogee Architectural Metals is a segment of Apogee specializing in aluminum framing, windows, storefront, curtainwall, and entrance systems. We provide integrated capabilities, including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication and assembly, across North America. Through our brands including Alumicor, EFCO, Linetec, Tubelite, and Wausau, we deliver quality, consistency, and value-added services throughout our portfolio. The Inside Sales Technician will partner with Apogee Architectural Metals direct Sales Representative, Estimators, Project Managers and Engineering to ensure the timely and accurate processing of estimates and order placement. They will deliver a superior level of customer service by promptly responding to questions from customers and following up with all contacts as required.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Construction or Project Management is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in estimating, engineering, drafting, factory order, or project management.
Extensive knowledge of EFCO brand product is preferred.
High level of professionalism.
Self-motivated and able to multi-task proficiently.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Data analysis skills.
Sound mathematical and numeracy skills.
Critical Thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Nice To Haves

Extensive knowledge of EFCO brand product is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare a Request for Quote (RFQ) from a list of materials, elevation takeoff, or plans and specifications.
Price storefront, curtain walls, doors using Price Book, Online Rapid Entry or Glaziers Studio
Ensure the customer receives superior service through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other departments.
Generate material lists and elevation takeoffs based on architectural drawings.
Prepare and submit project submittals, including samples, mockups.
Price projects (as stated in item 2) when required and add EFCO brand commission to quote. These quotes may need be sent out to customers directly by IST.
Verify accuracy of quote by cross referencing RFQ.
Complete Price Summary Commission Report (PSCR) and Project Information Form (PIF) through the website pricing program (Rapid Entry).
May be expected to answer some routine questions, referring more in-depth questions to the appropriate parties.
Maintain a working log of all project activity requests.
Participate in weekly project follow up meetings and other calls, as needed, to successfully sell work.
Maintain a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Adhere to Apogee Architectural Metals policies and IST standard operating procedures.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Participate in Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team’s performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.
Utilize Salesforce to fullest extent as the rep is responsible for.
Works with representative on prioritizing workload.
Assist with project challenges, improving lead times, expedites, freight damage and other general customer needs and requests.
Work with all departments as needed to accomplish tasks.
Understand Competitors products, tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses.
