About The Position

The Inside Sales Supervisor leads, develops, and motivates the Inside Sales team to attract new customers and drive revenue growth within the U.S. market. This role oversees three Inside Sales Specialists and maintains direct customer engagement responsibilities within an assigned region or technology area. The Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing lead generation, opportunity development, and customer satisfaction while fostering a high-performance, customer-centric team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of industry-related sales experience, including at least one (1) year in a supervisory or lead role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in inside sales and team leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CRM experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with analytical instrumentation is preferred.
  • Previous sales training (e.g., Miller Heiman – SPIN Selling) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor Inside Sales Specialists to achieve individual and team performance goals.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one development sessions.
  • Provide performance feedback, manage evaluations, and address performance issues when needed.
  • Oversee qualification of inbound marketing leads and customer web inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate routing of qualified opportunities to appropriate sales personnel.
  • Support the team in identifying additional customer needs and expanding product/service opportunities.
  • Analyze sales metrics to identify strengths, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely CRM data entry, tracking, and documentation.
  • Implement best practices for CRM usage and sales process optimization.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Field Sales to align campaign strategies and improve lead conversion.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a customer-first mindset within the Inside Sales team.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Support Metrohm’s brand presence through team initiatives and customer engagement efforts.
  • Prepare and present reports on team performance, pipeline health, and key sales metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
