About The Position

CrossRoads Building Supply, Inc. is seeking a full-time Inside Sales Specialist at its East Moline, Illinois location. The role serves as a key point of contact for customers and vendors, handling sales inquiries, processing orders, and supporting the outside sales team. The position requires strong communication skills, intermediate computer skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime potentially required based on business needs. Compensation is $18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience. Candidates must successfully complete a background screen and drug testing before hire.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors through phone, email, and other communication channels.
Match customer needs with company programs, prepare quotes, and close sales.
Collaborate with management on new campaigns, programs, and customer initiatives.
Provide accurate product information, pricing, and support in partnership with vendors.
Communicate with outside sales representatives regarding orders, requirements, and customer concerns.
Process and confirm purchase orders with suppliers and manage product transfers between branches.
Operate the cash register, enter sales data, and maintain accurate transaction records.
Complete required paperwork, including coding, costing, pricing, and deposits.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, pricing documentation, and literature.
Participate in inventory counts and assist with general warehouse operations when needed.
Follow company safety policies and promptly report unsafe activities.
