Requirements

  • BS/BA degree required, engineering or associated technical degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years proven inside sales experience, in a high volume, highly transactional environment.
  • Experience with sizing and selecting control valves, regulators, isolation valves, actuators is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent prospecting/opportunity skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and growth of professional business relationships with customers in selected accounts who influence the selection of regulator, control valve and actuation, products and services.
  • Identifies customer requirements, uncovers roadblocks, and demonstrates strong account management capabilities to drive sales results.
  • Reviews customer inquiries, requests additional information/clarity, and closes sales opportunities.
  • Maintains a high degree of product and application knowledge.
  • Utilizes applicable tools to manage business processes.
  • Responds to all customer requests in a timely manner, per Puffer’s Standards of Care.
  • Maintains comprehensive customer support with a primary focus on customer retention.
  • Establishes relationships, builds rapport to assist with influencing customer preference and specifications to include new products and repair services.
  • Collaborates with Sales Team Leader on product expansion opportunities. Works within account teams as required developing and implementing the Account Plan.
  • Works with multiple departments and support staff to provide customer solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Completes monthly sales reports and other required correspondence in a timely and effective manner.
