About The Position

Voigt-Abernathy Sales Corporation is seeking a motivated individual to fill the dual role of Shipping Receiving Clerk and Inside Sales representative. This position requires a blend of customer service, sales support, and logistical coordination. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer orders, verifying stock, providing quotes, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through the shipping and receiving department. Regular on-site attendance is mandatory.

Requirements

3 to 4 years of experience in customer service
Exceptional communication abilities
1 to 2 years of relevant customer service experience
Strong enthusiasm and ability to work autonomously
Relevant experience in inside sales or customer service required
Proficiency in data entry, organization, multitasking, and a strong customer focus is essential
Regular on-site attendance is mandatory
Must know Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed

Responsibilities

Addressing customer questions about our products and services.
Managing customer orders over the phone.
Verifying stock levels and delivery timelines.
Provide price quotes
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages, defects, or discrepancies
Verify accuracy of shipment contents against purchase orders or invoices
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs declarations
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery of shipments
Ensure proper storage and handling of incoming and outgoing products
Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages
Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
Communicate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipping and receiving issues
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
