About The Position

Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for fielding customer requests (internal & external); assessing the customers’ needs and providing solutions in a timely manner; preparing customer proposals, supporting pre-order and post-order processes; and building relationships with customers and principals. A successful associate will be a motivated individual with a high level of organization and technical expertise to support both internal and external customers. Essential characteristics for this position include excellent oral and written communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and understanding of the customer experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2-3 years of related experience preferred
  • Must be able to pass background and reference checks, as well as a drug test

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or 4 year-degree with emphasis in mechanical or technical field is a plus
  • Possesses superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate with a broad array of customers, including engineering, maintenance, and purchasing staff.
  • Review and evaluate various RFQs & specifications.
  • Provide professional and prompt responses via phone, fax, email, in‐person, etc.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals, and execute a follow‐up process utilizing company tools and guidelines.

  • Always provide a positive customer experience
  • Maintain customer contact information, per current procedures.
  • Provide prompt technical & administrative assistance to all internal customers.
  • Develop and maintain product expertise and market understanding.
  • Maintain positive relationships with principals and establish effective marketing practices for their products.
  • Keep an organized & resourceful work environment.
  • Be a role model for constant learning and improvement.
  • Occasional travel for training or other business purposes.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
