About The Position

As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll join a structured 18-month development program designed to give you the training, exposure, and experience to grow into a successful sales professional within Milton CAT. This program offers pay increases tied to milestone completion, allowing you to learn products, systems, and the full business. You will gain exposure to a diverse industry including construction, agriculture, and forestry, working with equipment, parts, and service solutions. This role provides a strong foundation for multiple career paths and allows you to collaborate with teams across New England and New York, learning from experienced sales professionals and building relationships across the organization. Requirements

  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Customer-focused mindset and problem-solving ability
  • Motivation to learn and grow in a sales career
  • Organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service, sales, or cold-calling experience is a plus—but not required

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to generate and follow up on sales leads
  • Identify customer needs and recommend products and services
  • Answer questions and provide information via phone, email, and text
  • Research and qualify new opportunities
  • Maintain and update customer records and sales activity
  • Stay informed on products, services, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer solutions
  • Close sales and work toward achieving targets
  • Participate in ongoing training and development
