About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative manages and supports a defined book of existing business while delivering exceptional customer service and driving ongoing client satisfaction. This role focuses on proactive outreach, relationship building, and accurate account management, working closely with internal teams to ensure clients receive timely, effective solutions. You will primarily interact with clients via email and phone, maintaining detailed records and serving as a reliable point of contact for a portfolio of 15–20 established clients.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, inside sales, or a closely related customer-facing role.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear, professional email and phone interactions.
  • Comfort making outbound calls and conducting proactive client outreach.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for communication, documentation, and basic reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inside sales or customer support in a business-to-business environment.
  • Background or familiarity with industrial products such as fasteners, nuts, and bolts is helpful but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and coordinate internal resources to deliver solutions.
  • Comfort working in a small, close-knit office where flexibility and teamwork are highly valued.
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with a focus on follow-through and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support an assigned book of business consisting of approximately 15–20 existing clients.
  • Conduct consistent client outreach primarily via email, supplemented by outbound phone calls as needed.
  • Build, strengthen, and maintain strong long-term customer relationships with assigned accounts.
  • Understand client needs, challenges, and priorities, and coordinate appropriate solutions with internal teams.
  • Provide timely follow-up on all customer inquiries, requests, and new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, notes, and documentation for each client account.
  • Monitor client activity and engagement to identify opportunities for additional support or sales.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues, including warehouse and office staff, to ensure accurate and on-time fulfillment of client needs.
  • Deliver professional, responsive customer service in every interaction, both written and verbal.
  • Work independently to manage daily tasks and priorities while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
