About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative position focuses on supporting internal and external customers with technical assistance, quotations, order management, and the resolution and facilitation of customer complaints and returns. Individuals performing this role are expected to support sales by cultivating customer relationships and taking a proactive role in the sales process.

  • Possess the ability to effectively and clearly present information to management.
  • Possess the ability to read and interpret business related documents.
  • Ability to work with fundamental mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Possess the ability to work with financial data, statistical probability, unit conversions, and basic mathematical models.
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, to collect data, to establish facts, and to draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient with the latest Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak, write and communicate in German or Spanish is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial instrumentation is a plus.
  • SAP Experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Quotation of products: Provide quotations for standard and semi-custom products, interpret and process customer requirements and specifications, select standard and semi-custom products, utilize Pro.File to acquire product data sheets, perform basic sizing calculations and TankClean simulations, generate product costing data and perform pricing calculations, apply appropriate pricing for market competitiveness and profitability, review and assure terms and conditions are mutually beneficial, provide lead times and offer alternative solutions for delivery improvements.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships: Provide primary support to the outside sales team and end-customers, provide support to distributors, provide phone and email support for commercial and technical inquiries, enter and categorize prospects and new customer accounts in CRM, maintain customer and opportunity-related information in CRM, actively work to develop new as well as existing business opportunities, participate in trade shows.
  • Manage customer complaints and returns: Take lead role in managing customer complaints and returns, solve and facilitate the resolution of technical product and process issues.
  • Process customer orders: Perform and facilitate contract review for purchase orders, enter orders into the Company ERP system, release blanket orders per customer requests, process change orders, cancellations, and customer returns, provide customer confirmations, file sales orders and associated documents, issue credit and debit notes, synchronize won opportunities in CRM and ERP systems, provide material certifications, facilitate the order process, monitor reports and follow-up on orders not scheduled or shipped, proactively provide internal and external customers with shipping date changes, coordinate with Purchasing and Manufacturing for expedited shipments, provide tracking numbers, order status, and invoices to customers.
  • Projects and Project Management: Develop Presentation Library content, develop and present training content, assist in the development of special pricing documents.
