About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for supporting customers through accurate responsive service, and ongoing sales support. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring orders are processed correctly, questions are resolved efficiently, and any issues are escalated appropriately. The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in delivering a smooth and positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or order entry
  • Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Packages and basic spreadsheet functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused mindset
  • Willingness to learn products, systems, and sales processes
  • Team-oriented with the ability to take direction and feedback

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Enter customer sales orders accurately and in a timely manner when needed
  • Verify pricing, product specifications, and order details prior to processing
  • Confirm orders with customers and provide order acknowledgements as needed
  • Provide pricing, lead times, and order status to customers and sales team
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Northern region customers
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to products
  • Proactively communicate delays, changes, or issues impacting customer orders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent follow-up
  • Assist with invoicing as needed to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Review invoices for discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain proper documentation for orders, changes, and customer communications
  • Identify and resolve routine customer issues independently
  • Escalate complex or sensitive issues to leadership when appropriate
  • Follow established processes to ensure issues are documented and resolved efficiently
  • Coordinate with production, operations, shipping, and accounting teams
  • Support internal communication to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives
