About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for selling welding equipment, tools, and supplies to customers. They play a key role in customer service, providing expert advice and collaborating with colleagues to meet customer needs. The ISR is also responsible for processing orders, managing inventory, making submissions, and staying informed about competitor activities. They actively contribute to the smooth operation of the store and customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of customer service experience
  • Experience related to our industry or welding products is an asset
  • Class 5 driver's license
  • Completed high school diploma (DES)
  • Experience with a computer system, Google environment is an asset
  • Experience operating forklifts
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-rate assistance to customers in choosing welding equipment, durable goods, power tools, safety supplies, and industrial gases.
  • Offer excellent customer service in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Meet customer needs by recommending appropriate products and services.
  • Seek to expand existing clientele with all product lines.
  • Analyze and expedite customer orders in a timely manner.
  • Enter sales data, submissions, and other relevant information into the inventory control system.
  • Ensure that customer requests related to billing issues, cylinder balances, order status, and delivery time are handled correctly.
  • Assist the manager in ordering appropriate merchandise to ensure inventory remains at an acceptable level.
  • Restock store merchandise.
  • Maintain current pricing on all store displays and products.
  • Prepare and propose effective sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Identify, monitor, and document competitive market activities by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Comply with and ensure compliance with the code of conduct/manual, policies, and procedures, and all applicable rules, regulations, and standards enacted by federal, state, and other applicable agencies or regulatory bodies.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
