About The Position

Mid-States Bolt & Screw is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Saginaw team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment. The Inside Sales Representative will support customers by processing orders, preparing quotations, answering product inquiries, and helping ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. This position works closely with customers, vendors, purchasing, and warehouse teams to provide outstanding service and support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of inside sales, customer service, or industrial distribution experience preferred
  • Experience with fasteners, industrial supplies, construction materials, or related products strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems (P21)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, lead times, and order status
  • Process sales orders, quotations, and purchase orders accurately and efficiently
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • Provide product recommendations and technical support related to fasteners, hardware, tools, and industrial supplies
  • Maintain working knowledge of inventory levels, vendor capabilities, and product applications
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and shipping departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
  • Resolve customer concerns, returns, and discrepancies professionally and promptly
  • Support overall sales growth through responsive service and account development
  • Stay informed on product lines, market trends, and industry developments
  • Meet or exceed established sales and service expectations
