About The Position

This role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with both new and existing customers to drive account growth. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-driven, and has a demonstrated record of success in sales. This position is onsite and does not offer a remote work arrangement.

Requirements

  • Minimum one-year experience in an inside sales position in an industrial environment relating to the petrochemical and refining fields.
  • Minimum one-year of working knowledge with gaskets, seals, and hoses.
  • Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of word processing programs, spreadsheets and internet access and searching software as required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure with whole numbers, fractions and decimals in metric and English.
  • Able to compute rate, ratios, percentages and to read and comprehend technical drawings.
  • Achieve solutions to practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with vendors and co-workers.
  • Must be able to keep an organized work area.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple people at one time.
  • Must be punctual and able to work each day.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions ERP a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Be highly motivated, self-directed and customer service orientated.
  • Communicate effectively with customers via phone, written correspondence, and other methods to ensure a high level of customer service and strong client relationships.
  • Prepare clear, accurate written documentation, ensuring accurate pricing and configurations; prepare quotes for prospective customers.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to identify current needs and anticipate future opportunities.
  • Maintain customer contacts in CRM system.
  • Performs the duties of liaison between the Customer and all company departments to assure timely and professional order input and effective order management, customer interface, and shipment coordination.
  • Assists outside sales team with customer research and outbound telephone marketing.
