About The Position

Southwest JCB a division of Southwest Material Handling, Inc. is a leading provider of construction equipment, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team and contribute to our continued success. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing customer relationships, responding to inquiries, and processing orders for construction equipment and related products. This role plays a key part in driving inside sales, supporting the outside sales team, and improving overall sales efficiency. A proactive sales approach, strong customer focus, and ability to collaborate across departments are essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in construction equipment or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing outstanding service and support to meet their equipment needs.
  • Qualify all incoming JCB leads from JCB platforms, company website, and online store. Log results in the CRM and forward follow-up needs to the VP of Sales, Branch Manager, and relevant Territory Sales Managers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person; process orders accurately to ensure timely delivery and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions using the company’s CRM system.
  • Assist with JCB quotes for all SWMH Sales Representatives.
  • Collaborate closely with outside sales, service, and internal departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Manage and update the JCB online store pages, including inventory and sales pricing in coordination with the VP of Sales.
  • Upload and market new trade-in equipment to the SWJCB website with complete photos and pricing. Coordinate with sales reps, branch managers, and internal staff for media collection.
  • Manage bid search engines (e.g., BidPrime, BidNet) for JCB, Dynapac, Avant, and related products. Maintain and refine bid search parameters, conduct monthly manual searches, and stay up to date through continued training.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and product developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of construction equipment and products offered.
  • Provide customers with detailed product knowledge, including features, benefits, and application guidance.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through proactive outreach and engagement.
