About The Position

This role is responsible for managing wire rod orders, including trade and affiliate sales. The Inside Sales Representative will handle the entire order lifecycle from receiving orders, credit checking, analysis, production approval, scheduling, processing, and dispatch. They will also manage order modifications, customer complaints, and ensure timely shipment of materials. Additionally, the role involves calculating volume incentives, forecasting shipments, researching potential customers for off-spec materials, and maintaining customer records. The position also requires assisting other Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) during absences and coordinating customer visits.

Requirements

  • Must be aware of the department’s Quality Standards.
  • Adhere to the department’s ISO procedures.
  • Observes all safety rules.
  • Receives all wire rod orders, trade and affiliate sales, has credit checked, analyses, reviews and obtains production approval, schedules for production, follows up on processing and dispatch of orders.
  • Receives modifications to existing orders, makes necessary changes and advises personnel as necessary.
  • Ensures customer complaints information are forwarded to Field Development Metallurgist.
  • Ensures QA releases in the shipping priority report are prioritized.
  • Forwards trial order information to the Technical Representative and advises customer when material is shipped.
  • Responsible to calculate volume incentive for applicable customers and once approved, forwarded to the Accounting department.
  • Communicates with QA and Shipping departments to expedite the shipments of delinquent/straggler coils.
  • Responsible for the forecasts of tons to be shipped, by customer, for the shipping department.
  • Assists in researching for potential customers for off spec materials or no longer materials wanted by original customer.
  • Ensures processed rod orders for traded are received, credits are checked, analyzed, reviewed, approved, acknowledged, prepared work order, scheduled for production and expedited.
  • Answers customer requests for information.
  • Ensures payment terms on customers written purchase order, accounts receivable price discrepancies are verified.
  • Responsible for various reports, ei. Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly.
  • Assists in replacing the CSRs during vacation time or absences.
  • Coordinate customer visits to IRM.
  • Ensures new customer or modified specifications are updated.
  • Maintains customers’ business records.

  • Responds to customer requests for information.
  • Verifies payment terms on customer purchase orders and resolves accounts receivable price discrepancies.
  • Prepares various daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports.
  • Assists in replacing CSRs during vacation or absences.
  • Coordinates customer visits to IRM.
  • Ensures new customer or modified specifications are updated.
  • Maintains customers’ business records.
  • Performs other required duties as assigned.
