About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for acting as a liaison between the Regional Sales Managers (outside sales representatives) and current customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Biology, Business Administration, Sales or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a customer relations/problem-solving environment (i.e. customer service, inside sales, retail, etc.) and strong computer knowledge required.
  • Technical skills and abilities must include: Ability to read and interpret written instructions, understand the computer system, and use it effectively for inside sales service functions.
  • Communication skills and abilities must include: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Behave in a professional manner and have a good understanding of proper email and personal etiquette.
  • Work style skills and abilities must include: Take direction and to carry out instructions from the manager in an orderly and efficient manner. Work effectively as a leader and within a team environment. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Be proactive in your approach to all issues in order to identify or eliminate potential problem areas. Work independently and in groups and be self-motivated in both settings.

Responsibilities

  • Handle current buying accounts and new account calls that are not budgeted, targeted, or key accounts.
  • Technical interface with the customers. Aid in product assistance with customer and potential customer applications. Provide notification to customers of specification changes to existing products.
  • Use Salesforce to track opportunities, tasks and leads from trade shows.
  • Track and request regulatory documentation for outside sales reps.
  • Provide Safety Data Sheets to customers when requested.
  • Manage completion of testing on material (this includes new development).
  • Work with Sales Manager and Product Managers to prepare formal quotes for customers.
  • Travel occasionally to trade shows.
  • Help organize and collect and update documentation for Sales reference on server folders
  • Attend weekly meetings with TS&D and communicate meeting notes in Quip and Salesforce.
  • Establish yearly budget and forecasts. Prepare monthly sales reports.
  • Respond to all customer requests (calls and emails) in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Enter technical requests into Quip for respective sales groups.
  • Technical interface between respective sales group and technical group.
  • Develop the skills necessary to progress to an outside sales role.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
