About The Position

The Inside Sales Rep serves as a key customer contact and consultant at a United Rentals Trench Safety branch. The role recommends solutions, quotes, sells, and fulfills equipment and service orders based on customer needs, with a focus on underground trench safety equipment rentals and supplies. The representative builds customer relationships, provides outstanding service, supports sales and branch growth, and handles multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.
Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and diligent attention to safety.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge of trench safety-related products and applications.

Responsibilities

Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts.
Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers.
Generate leads for new business and communicate leads to Outside Sales Representatives.
Educate customers about proper equipment use.
Assist customers with loading and unloading equipment.
Dispatch delivery trucks and manage customer expectations regarding delivery.
Maintain a clean and presentable showroom that is sufficiently stocked with merchandise.
Perform other duties as assigned.
