About The Position

As an Inside Sales Rep at a Fluid Solutions branch, you will serve as a key customer contact and consultant. You will recommend solutions, quote, sell, and fulfill orders for equipment and services based on customer needs, with a focus on fluid solutions equipment rental and supply needs. The role involves building customer relationships, providing outstanding service, supporting sales and branch growth, and learning about specialty engineered rental products and services, including electric and hydraulic pumps. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Strong sales and customer service skills.
Proficiency with MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Keen attention to detail and diligent attention to safety.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge of fluid solutions-related products and applications.

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of the rental business as it relates to specialty engineered rental products and services, including electric and hydraulic pumps.
Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts.
Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk-in and call-in customers.
Educate customers about proper equipment use.
Coordinate with inside and outside branch employees to deliver customer satisfaction.
Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
Run reports needed to monitor equipment and facilitate smooth operations.
Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets.
Perform other duties as assigned.
