Inside Sales Rep
About The Position
The Inside Sales Rep helps implement the branch’s business plan by meeting the needs of a diverse customer base. This role handles in-branch equipment rentals, customer relations, telemarketing, and collections, with a primary focus on increasing branch revenue through equipment rentals and sales, advising the manager of product and service needs, and providing exceptional customer service. The position develops knowledge of specialty engineered rental products and services, including generators, pumps, chillers, air-conditioning, electric heat, dehumidification, load banks, and electrical distribution.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong customer service orientation and sales experience or skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Engineering aptitude and ability to properly size, quote, install, and maintain large projects, potentially involving sewer bypass, industrial process cooling, construction and water-damage drying, multi-level power distribution, and large-scale climate control.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities
- Establish an understanding of the rental business and specialty engineered rental products and services.
- Establish new rental and sales accounts through telemarketing and by serving call-in customers.
- Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Educate customers on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
- Ensure contract-related information entered into the branch computer system is accurate.
- Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns.
- Run reports needed to monitor equipment and facilitate smooth operations.
- Coordinate with inside and outside branch employees to deliver customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets.
- Increase branch revenue by renting and selling equipment, advising the manager of product and service needs, and providing customer service.
- Handle customer relations and collections.
