About The Position

Interacts with customers and records information into a computer for inventory control and orders for customers. This role involves talking with customers and sales personnel, receiving orders for products and delivery, inputting orders into the system, and determining correct prices. The individual will also solicit sales of new or additional services, adjust complaints concerning billing or service, and refer service failures to the designated person for investigation. Additionally, the position requires distributing price sheets weekly to customers and sales personnel and checking inventory to ensure orders can be filled, alerting proper personnel of needs.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of ECS Pro Database software.
  • Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; uses resources effectively.
