About The Position

Heaton Erecting, Inc. is seeking a Construction Sales Representative responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting project coordination to ensure successful execution. This role is critical in building recurring business, managing customer communication, and supporting operational alignment from initial customer contact through project completion. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and sales activity in a construction or related environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret project documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM systems or construction management software (such as NexGen) preferred.
  • Experience in steel erection, construction services, or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to build a strong base of recurring business.
  • Actively pursue leads, manage customer pipelines, and generate new opportunities.
  • Meet with customers to assess project needs, scope, and timelines.
  • Provide timely follow-up and maintain consistent communication to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver competitive quotes aligned with project scope and customer expectations.
  • Ensure accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism in all customer proposals.
  • Support pricing efforts to balance competitiveness with company performance goals.
  • Coordinate with Operations to align schedules, equipment, and personnel for upcoming work.
  • Support development of site-specific planning documentation to ensure efficient execution.
  • Partner with field leadership and project teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and field delivery.
  • Support projects from award through completion to ensure customer requirements and company deliverables are met.
  • Maintain strong communication with customers throughout project lifecycle.
  • Identify and address issues proactively to support successful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, project activity, and sales data.
  • Utilize company systems, including CRM and NexGen, to track opportunities and performance.
  • Support collections and accounts receivable processes as needed.
  • Contribute to team and company objectives as assigned.
  • Represent Heaton Erecting, Inc. with professionalism, integrity, and strong customer focus.
