About The Position

The Inside Sales Professional (ISP) works as part of the Customer Service team. The Inside Sales Professional will qualify, negotiate, close and process sales opportunities with "upbeat" attention to service, phone etiquette, and detail. The ISP identifies new opportunities and works to exceed team sales objectives. The ISP's position entails selling or introducing new corporate products or services to established clients. Customers communicate with the ISP to request orders, quotations, and lead times by fax, telephone, or email. The ISP's job is to build quotations on standard products, write orders and communicate pertinent information on them to customers. The primary duty involves tracking and following up on the leads the organization generates based on web marketing. The ISP handles the project execution actions and overall coordination between the Customer Service Department and Outside Sales Department.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age, or older, and have legal status to work in the United States.
  • Must possess Associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Industrial Management.
  • 2+ years of experience performing in a customer-focused environment; experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Capability to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power BI); intermediate level preferred.
  • Ability to learn Oracle, Salesforce, and other software

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in product knowledge
  • Responsible for order entry of all product lines and accuracy of order entry
  • Alert Regional Manager and Product Manager of large quantity and/or large dollar inquiries and any new customer activity
  • Display an “I’m here to help” demeanor
  • Build customer loyalty with key distributors by maintaining intimate knowledge of their needs
  • Be proactive – keep customers updated, follow up on inquiries to generate sales
  • Run new customers through existing distributors
  • Maintain the Parent File for each customer
  • Provide accurate pricing and anticipated delivery information for OPW ES products
  • Provide customers with professional, accurate and timely responses
  • Open communication with all OPW personnel regarding team performance
  • Provide back up to team leader
  • Answer incoming calls and deal with customer and/or transfer to proper sales person
  • Achieve appropriate performance and quality metrics through standardized use of customer relationship management (Salesforce) and/or enterprise resource planning software (Oracle) to document and report on key activities (troubleshooting, diagnosing, corrective actions and follow-up etc.)
  • File all customer orders and shipments
  • Back up all customer service personnel
