About The Position

Oliver Equipment Company (OEC) is a leading industrial supplier of specialty process equipment. Our products include centrifugal pump and compressors, positive displacement pumps and compressors, steam turbines, static & dynamic mixers, turbo blowers and related products and a provider of technical solutions to the downstream, midstream, power generation and general industrial sectors. OEC headquarters are in Houston, TX Job Information: Inside Sales Level 2 - Work with the outside sales team on New Equipment, Repairs, and Parts proposals; and simple order entry.

Requirements

  • Degree from a four-year college or from a two-year college or technical school a plus; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete proposals for both duplicate and new applications.
  • Proposal types include end users, engineering contractors, OEM’s, & resellers.
  • Ability to dissect engineering pump specs & provide comments & clarifications.
  • Process orders through CSD and/or directly with the manufacturing principal depending upon the equipment sold.
  • Provide order acknowledgments to customers & account reps.
  • Provide status of shipment on equipment orders to the sales team or customers as necessary.
  • Contact will involve other OEC team members, manufacturing principals, and sometimes directly with the customer.
  • Understands customer needs and requirements.
  • Gains and retains extensive product selection application knowledge as well as detailed comprehension of customer's requirements.
  • Handles inbound calls and provides callers with product and technical information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
