About The Position

SunLight2® is a U.S.-based architectural LED lighting manufacturer specializing in high color accuracy, light for well-being, and Dim-to-Warm technology. Our products are designed for lighting showrooms, designers, architects, and hospitality specifiers who demand premium visual performance, aesthetic precision, and reliable engineering. Position Overview The Inside Sales & Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing and growing B2B accounts within lighting showrooms, interior designers, architects, and specification professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of the lighting industry and the ability to support specification-driven sales with both technical knowledge and proactive relationship management. The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience working with lighting showrooms and B2B customers, understands the architectural lighting sales cycle, and can confidently support both sales growth and customer service functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in lighting showrooms and B2B sales.
  • Proven experience working with architectural lighting products.
  • Strong understanding of LED technology including dimming methods such as TRIAC, ELV, 0-10V, and driver compatibility.
  • Experience supporting specification-driven sales cycles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with architects, interior designers, and lighting specifiers.
  • Familiarity with Title 24 compliance requirements.
  • Ability to review specification sheets and IES files.
  • Understanding of premium brand positioning within the architectural lighting market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with lighting showrooms, designers, architects, and specifiers.
  • Proactively reach out to existing and prospective B2B accounts to promote SunLight2® products.
  • Identify opportunities for showroom stocking programs, displays, and project-based sales.
  • Follow up consistently on quotations to increase conversion rates.
  • Support outside sales representatives and regional managers with account development strategies.
  • Assist specifiers with product selection, dimming compatibility, photometric data, and technical documentation.
  • Provide guidance on LED performance including CRI, CCT, lumen output, beam spread, and driver compatibility.
  • Track project timelines and maintain consistent follow-up to secure orders.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations when technical clarification is required.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate quotations in a timely manner.
  • Process sales orders and confirm pricing, lead times, and shipping details.
  • Monitor open orders and communicate proactively regarding status updates.
  • Ensure pricing policies and B2B account terms are followed.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Resolve order discrepancies and product concerns with accountability and follow-through.
  • Deliver a high-touch service experience aligned with a premium architectural lighting brand.
  • Build long-term relationships that encourage repeat business and account growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of all account activity within CRM.
  • Track pipeline opportunities, open quotes, and forecasted sales.
  • Provide weekly activity reports and performance updates to management.
  • Maintain organized documentation for showrooms and specification account.
