About The Position

Eckart LLC is seeking a career-oriented Inside Sales/Counter Sales Associate to join their Customer Service team, focusing on both plumbing and electrical aspects. This role involves managing counter sales and product returns, providing product expertise, and building customer rapport in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The company is a full-service, wholesale distributor with over 50 years of experience in electrical, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, power, and hand tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two years’ sales experience (counter sales, inside sales or outside sales)
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to develop long-term relationships and generate referrals from your customers
• Excellent communication skills
• Impeccable organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Time management & multitasking skills to serve several customers at the same time
• Strong networking skills, outgoing personality
• Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team
• Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
• Final candidates will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Post-Secondary courses in Electrical are considered an asset
• Knowledge of the electrical industry or a background in electrical products would be considered an asset, including - lighting, wiring devices, distribution, and motor control

Responsibilities

• Offering exceptional customer service at our counter and over the phone
• Responding to inquiries and processing incoming calls and orders
• Processing orders in the system
• Sourcing materials for customers when currently not in stock
• Consistent training and understanding of current products
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships
• Handling returns as required
• Keeping counter and sales area clean
• Merchandising and showcasing product
• Other duties as required
• Contacting current customers and identifying new products and potential up-selling
• Maintaining knowledge base on current products and learning about new products
• Providing product information, pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes
• Ensuring that customers are satisfied with order taking, product, pricing, deliveries, and overall service
• Supporting Counter Sales and handling returns as required
• Working closely with others to ensure customer needs are met
