Requirements

  • College degree required, plus a minimum of 5 years of phone based Inside Sales experience or 3 years of Outside Sales experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid working knowledge of sales processes and related manufacturing
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to incoming customer calls and inquiries regarding product offerings.
  • Develops relationships to cultivate new business or refers customers to appropriate National Account Manager.
  • Proactively makes customer calls and identifies and executes revenue enhancing strategic partnerships.
  • Manages, renews and upsells existing clients.
  • Keeps other team members informed of customer issues (complaints, late orders, pricing changes, etc.).
  • Prepares monthly and annual budgets and forecasts and other reports, enters data into company software.
  • Reviews major customer forecasting information and keeps the Sales Teams abreast of any changes – customer intelligence.
  • Responds to RFPs with a high degree of detail in a timely manner.
  • Negotiates on price, service and terms.
  • Communicates with customers and internal suppliers to provide product or service quotations and lead times.
  • Utilizes historical knowledge of Company operations, profitability guidelines and computer quoting model to develop cost/profit analysis of products; reviews and negotiates pricing depending on raw material costing.
  • Appropriately manages customer complaints and returns with Customer Service and Quality department.
  • Communicates with Graphics for customers and Sales to reduce aged inventory.
  • May assist with trade shows and market specific marketing activity, company promotional events, and outside company sales gatherings.
  • Participate in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes.
  • Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
