About The Position

Start your career as an Inside Sales Account Manager in an entry-level technology sales role focused on cold calling, outbound prospecting, account development, and helping state and local government, higher education, and K-12 customers find the right technology solutions. At Connection, you’ll learn to build, manage, and grow customer accounts through inside sales and consultative technology sales while supporting public sector customers with hardware, software, cloud, cybersecurity, data center, endpoint, and professional services solutions.

Requirements

• Dependable, coachable, and motivated candidates who are ready to learn, make outbound calls, and grow as Inside Sales Account Managers.
• No prior sales or technology sales experience is required.
• Strong work ethic, coachability, accountability, and consistency.
• Comfort with cold calling, outbound prospecting, lead generation, and new account development.
• Interest in building and growing a book of business from the ground up.
• Clear communication, active listening, customer relationship building, and follow-up.
• Organization, pipeline tracking, CRM documentation, Microsoft Office skills, and interest in technology sales.
• Recent college graduates, new graduates, or early-career candidates ready to start a professional sales career.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a book of business through cold calling, outbound prospecting, lead generation, and targeted outreach.
• Engage decision-makers to uncover organizational needs, budget priorities, and sales opportunities.
• Recommend technology solutions with support from vendor partners and internal experts.
• Develop accounts and build trusted relationships with public sector, higher education, and K-12 customers.
• Manage daily sales activity, account development, pipeline updates, and follow-up.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver quotes, pricing, and customer solutions aligned to account needs.
