About The Position

The Sales position is responsible for buying and selling steel products, fabrications, and services provided by this company. She/he will prepare quotes and orders per customer demand and will follow-up on orders/quotes, evaluate need, and monitor the steel market. Communication of thoughts and ideas to fellow employees, customers, and clients is a must; utilizing many avenues such as verbal communication, in person, over the phone, as well as written form; e-mails, letters and fax. Lastly, the Sales position is responsible for completing all duties assigned.

This includes the knowledge of correct bending and lifting techniques as needed to properly position and use one's hands, feet, legs, arms, and back to lift objects or equipment, and to push, pull, and carry heavy objects.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: The ability to coordinate one's eyes with one's fingers, wrists, or arms to move, carry, or manipulate objects or to perform other job-related tasks.
  • Work Conditions: The ability to perform job activities, with appropriate intermittent relief where applicable, inside or outside. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, while exposed to constant/intermittent sound. Also, at times, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
  • Climbing: The ability to climb, work, and carry items up and down ladders.
  • Manual Dexterity: The ability to make quick, accurate, skillful, coordinated movements of one hand, one hand in coordination with its arm, or two hands to grasp, place, move, or assemble objects. The ability to perform repetitive motion with wrist, hands and fingers as the employee will utilize a keyboard frequently.
