About The Position

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule but not eligible for relocation. Purpose This position is responsible for a portion of customer sales activities of new aerospace and defense accounts; will act as the Account Manager and key contact for Business Development Managers; and provide support for inquiries, purchase orders, shipments, and payments. This position will also be responsible for developing new and existing accounts by building rapport and providing world class customer service to utilize open capacity while maximizing profitability and revenue.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least 7 years of experience in inside sales, customer relationship management, or other commercial experience
  • Associate's degree in business or related field, with at least 4 years of experience in inside sales, customer relationship management, or other commercial experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, with at least 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer relationship management, or other commercial experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Support growth initiatives for long product bars and tubes, machined components, forgings, and cut solutions within heavy focus in the aerospace and defense markets by serving as the primary Inside Sales Manager.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for Business Development Managers, providing comprehensive support for new account setup, customer inquiries, purchase orders, shipment coordination, and payment-related matters.
  • Prospect through cold calling and build rapport with new and developing accounts
  • Continuously follow up on quoted business opportunities, leads, referrals, and dormant accounts
  • Manage customer pricing and contracts; develop pricing recommendations for new inquiries in collaboration with Business Development Managers and the Product Manager.
  • Create and maintain customer accounts within the system, ensuring accurate setup of contacts, addresses, AR terms, required documentation, and detailed account notes.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to past-due accounts receivable, disputed items, and customer-owned finished inventory.
  • Strengthen customer relationships through regular communication— including calls, emails, and strategic visits—to deepen engagement and expand cross functional contacts.
  • Support Business Development activities at industry trade shows and customer events; travel 10 – 25% to foster strategic relationships in the aerospace and defense sector.
  • Help transition new programs into long-term, sustainable business opportunities that contribute to an annual growth targets.
