About The Position

Dell Technologies is seeking an Inside Product Specialist I to join their Dell Cloud Software & Security Sales team. This role is responsible for selling a defined set of products and services, acting as a technical consultant during the sales process. The specialist will advise customers on product features, configurations, pricing, and availability, delivering technical solutions via phone, chat, web, or email. The position requires a strong sales and technical background, relationship-building skills, and a passion for selling and acquiring new accounts.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Basic knowledge of the full range of 3rd party software technology products and services.
  • General industry and competitor knowledge.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Selling a defined set of products and services, handling approximately 5-10 inbound phone calls.
  • Acting as a technical resource to support the sales organization in meeting their objectives.
  • Utilizing a strategic approach to identify, evaluate, and recommend business solutions considering customer needs and Dell interests.
  • Identifying customer needs and requirements, and recommending appropriate products and solutions, making approximately 15-25 outbound calls to acquire and follow up.
  • Promoting and positioning key strategic products and service offerings.
