About The Position

Adelio's Basement Waterproofing & Sewer Repair is a family-oriented business with nearly 50 years in business and an impeccable reputation. We are looking to add an outside/inside salesperson to join our growing team and help us build our customer base with outside sales, while taking on inside sales to fill their schedule. This candidate should not only be able to complete the duties below, but also must fit our 5 core values. The Sales Representative will split time between outside (in-home / onsite) and inside (phone / virtual) activities. You’ll meet prospective homeowners, inspect basements, foundations or sewer lines, prepare professional proposals, and close sales that solve our customers’ water infiltration or drainage challenges. When you’re not in the field, you’ll handle inbound calls, follow up on web leads, and generate outside perspective customers to keep your pipeline full. Success in this role means living our 5 Core Values every day while consistently hitting monthly revenue and close rate targets.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of successful residential or construction related sales experience (basement waterproofing, HVAC, roofing, pest control, or similar preferred).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly sales goals.
  • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working in basements, crawlspaces, and yard areas (ability to kneel, crouch, and lift up to 40 lbs.).
  • Capacity to sustain key working relationships.
  • Excited to work in a collaborative team environment with excellence in verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Attention to detail is critical to maintain a high quality of care.
  • Takes initiative and proactive approach to improve performance.
  • Assumes responsibility, authority, and accountability for all activities.
  • Ability to develop job estimates and solutions that remain in line with account owners’ budgetary requirements.
  • Proficient in use of computers and software applications, smart phones, or data-enabled devices
  • Must be an energetic, personable, and punctual self-starter.
  • Collaboration experience but comfortable working alone or without supervision
  • Must be able to display a positive “can do” attitude at all times, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Confident with MS Office and CRM software.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license with clean driving record; willing to travel throughout Northeast Ohio (company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided).
  • High school diploma required
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in sales and customer service.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • A Background Check will be required for employment

Nice To Haves

  • college degree or technical certifications are a plus
  • Ability to speak Spanish is not required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to company generated and self-generated leads across Northeast Ohio.
  • Perform onsite assessments (crawlspaces, basements, sewer lines)
  • Diagnose problems, take measurements, capture photos, and document findings.
  • Prepare clear, detailed scopes of work proposals and pricing and provide them to clients in a timely manner.
  • Present solutions, answer objections, and close sales at or above minimum close rate goals.
  • Utilize company CRM (Service Titan) to record notes, upload photos, and move opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure job details, materials, and timelines are accurate.
  • Handle inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries quickly and professionally.
  • Qualify prospects, schedule appointments, and follow up on open estimates.
  • Conduct virtual consultations when appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing customers for addon services, referrals, and reviews.
  • Provide daily/weekly sales reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Attend bi-weekly sales meetings and ongoing training sessions.
  • Partnering with our marketing team to give feedback on lead quality and campaigns.
  • Help nurture a positive, growth oriented, and ethical sales culture that reflects our core values.
