About The Position

This position is responsible for representing the company in developing excellent customer relationships with all existing and potential customers through informative, efficient, and friendly service. The role involves following up on quotes, outstanding orders, and developing/expanding existing accounts. A high level of customer service is expected to ensure client satisfaction, which includes responding to customer questions efficiently and courteously, discussing product features and benefits, and recommending appropriate products and solutions. The role also involves processing orders, coordinating delivery requests with the dispatcher, up-selling additional products, answering incoming calls and emails, accepting payments, and reordering products to maintain stock levels.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak in English
  • Able to complete basic math and measurement skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Detail oriented
  • To be self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Communication (verbal communication, persuasive impact, listening, written communication)

  • Building material knowledge and or experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Follow up on quotes, outstanding orders, etc.
  • Develop, lead and expand existing accounts
  • Provide a high level of customer service to ensure clients complete satisfaction
  • Develop relationships with customers responding to their questions efficiently and courteously
  • Process orders in person or on phone
  • Efficient communication with dispatcher coordinating delivery requests to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Discussing features and benefits of products and services
  • Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions, up-selling additional products and supplies for each job
  • Answering incoming phone calls and emails to assist customers in a timely manner
  • Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer account
  • Reordering products to keep the store and warehouse shelves well stocked
