About The Position

The Production Line Insert position is responsible for performing manual and operational tasks within the newspaper production process. Its main function is to insert supplements, magazines, shoppers, and other printed materials into the production line, ensuring compliance with established quality and efficiency standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma (desirable).
• No previous experience required, but experience in production or manufacturing environments will be valued.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and efficiency.
• Attention to detail to detect errors or irregularities in materials.
• Ability to work in a team and follow clear instructions.
• Physical condition to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds), work kneeling or squatting, in small or confined areas, climb stairs, and be exposed to dust and ink.
• Availability to work rotating shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., as well as overtime as needed for production.

Responsibilities

• Manually insert supplements, advertising flyers, and other materials into newspapers according to production specifications.
• Operate basic machinery related to the insertion process, ensuring its correct use and operation.
• Load and organize materials on the production line to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Visually inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards before distribution.
• Report any production incidents or material defects to the immediate supervisor.
• Comply with occupational safety procedures and company regulations.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet daily goals in a fast-paced environment.
