About The Position
Technicians assist in the processing of insect samples collected for avian research conducted in the Wyoming Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Wyoming. This position provides vital support to campus customers and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus.
Requirements
- must demonstrate strong attention to detail and care in work
- must communicate effectively
- must be able to work, problem-solve, and manage time independently
- Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
Nice To Haves
- prior experience working in a laboratory setting
- actively pursuing a career in biological sciences/natural resources
Responsibilities
- help isolate insects from soil samples in a laboratory settings
