Inplant Ink Technician / Production
About The Position
We are seeking an Inplant Ink Technician to work at our customer's site. The technician will serve as a liaison between INX and the customer and will be responsible for maintaining INX's on-site ink room. As an Inplant Tech you will be responsible for: Maintaining INX's excellent relationship with the customer Reviewing scheduling and coordinating jobs with customer Being available for service call-ins as needed Performing technical service, color matching, ink production and dispensing ink Evaluating production requirements based on customer schedule changes Controlling Work-off Inventory management and monthly consignment counts Performing job estimates Providing press-side technical support Completing monthly reports Performing Quality Control tests on incoming and site-manufactured batches Following all safety requirements Data entry accuracy Manufacturing batches under 100 pounds
Requirements
- High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
- Be able to match colors effectively and pass a color vision test
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Effectively communicate with peers and customers
- Have excellent written, reading comprehension, and math skills
- Demonstrate proficient with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
- Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
- Have good organization skills
- 2 to 5 years of work related experience
Nice To Haves
- Spectrophotometer knowledge & experience helpful
- Technically qualified to service Offset Sheetfed products
- Familiar with X-Rite IQC
- Flexible packaging knowledge
- Flexographic printing knowledge
- Solvent ink knowledge
- Previous lab, inplant, and warehouse experience
- SAP Knowledge
- Inplant pressroom experience
- College degree
