About The Position

Columbus Springs East is seeking an Inpatient Therapist to join their Behavioral Health team on a PRN basis. This role is crucial in providing therapeutic services to patients within a behavioral health hospital setting. The therapist will be responsible for conducting various therapy sessions, participating in treatment planning, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent.
• Current clinical or social work license in the state of OH.
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Displays active involvement in the treatment planning process.
• Provides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
• Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources.
• Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient’s treatment.
• Works well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review and nursing staff members.
