About The Position

Columbus Springs East is seeking an Inpatient Therapist, PRN, to join their Behavioral Health team. This role is crucial in providing therapeutic services to patients within a 72-bed behavioral health hospital that has been serving the Columbus community for over 7 years. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission. Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or equivalent.
• Current clinical or social work license in the state of OH.
• Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Displays active involvement in the treatment planning process.
• Displays active involvement in the discharge, transition, and after-care planning treatment process.
• Provides family session counseling as therapeutically necessary to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups.
• Actively communicates with clients, families, and outside referral sources, functioning within the scope of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
• Demonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patient’s treatment, documenting all correspondence held with patients and other stakeholders.
