About The Position

The Vines Hospital, affiliated with Universal Health Services, is seeking an Inpatient Therapist. This role involves conducting therapeutic groups for patients, documenting sessions, interviewing patients to develop psychological histories, assessing individual and family therapeutic needs, developing treatment objectives and weekly summaries, serving as the primary contact for patients and families, advocating for patients with the treatment team, and liaising with outside agencies for discharge planning. The therapist will work with adolescent and adult patient populations.

Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or psychology required
One (1) year experience in a psychiatric health care facility, preferred
Direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills
Strong clinical assessment skills
Adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired

Nice To Haves

Licensure in the state of Florida is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Conducting therapeutic groups for patients
Documentation of group sessions in a timely manner
Interviewing patients and developing psychological histories
Assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family
Developing appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries
Serving as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay
Acting as an advocate with the treatment team
Working as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for discharge planning coordination with the treatment team and family
