About The Position

Freedom Behavioral Hospital is growing and has immediate openings for Full-Time Clinical Licensed Therapists to join our Social Services team. Our therapists play a vital role in helping patients achieve stability, healing, and long-term success. The Clinical Licensed Therapist is an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and is responsible for delivering high-quality behavioral health services to adult and geriatric patients. This role provides group and individual therapy, completes biopsychosocial assessments, participates in treatment planning and utilization review, and supports discharge planning and continuity of care. The Therapist collaborates closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and other clinical team members to ensure services align with Freedom Behavioral Hospital’s mission, policies, and regulatory standards while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
  • LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor
  • LMSW or LCSW – Licensed Master/Clinical Social Worker
  • License must be current, active, and maintained in good standing.
  • Government-issued Photo ID
  • Social Security Card and/or Driver’s License
  • Copy of current professional license
  • CPR Certification
  • Behavioral Management Training (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting preferred
  • Equivalent experience will be considered
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced psychiatric environment
  • Proficient computer and electronic documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide group, individual, and family therapy services
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and clinical documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and utilization review
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
  • Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients with community resources
  • Serve as a liaison with families, guardians, and external agencies
  • Perform crisis intervention and mandatory reporting as required
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives
  • Rotate administrative on-call duties as assigned
