About The Position

This position is for an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room. The role is 100% FTE and involves an evening shift from 14:30 to 23:00. The nurse will work at UW Health Swedish American Hospital located at 1401 E State St. Additional compensation components may include evening, night, and weekend shift differentials, overtime, and on-call pay. Shift differentials are provided for weekday evenings ($4/hr), weekday nights ($5/hr), weekend days ($4.25/hr), weekend evenings ($8.25/hr), and weekend nights ($9.25/hr).

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
• Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
• Bi-annual CPR certification.
• Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence.
• 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
• Evening shift work schedule (14:30 - 23:00).

Nice To Haves

• Community nursing experience (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
• Specialty certification in area of concentration.
• ACLS certification within two years of hire (for 9th Floor Only).
