About The Position

This position involves working as an Inpatient RN Observation, with a work schedule of 90% FTE, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. The shifts are from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and include rotating weekends and holidays. The role is located at UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Additional compensation includes shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts, as well as potential overtime and on-call pay.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
• Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
• Bi-annual CPR certification.
• 2 years experience in an Emergency Room setting or Psychiatric Nursing setting (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).

Nice To Haves

• Community nursing experience (for 911 Call Center Triage Only).
• Specialty certification in area of concentration.
• ACLS certification within two years of hire (for 9th Floor Only).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an inpatient observation setting.
