About The Position
We are seeking a Psychiatrist to join an established behavioral health program in Canton, Ohio. This opportunity is for a secondary psychiatrist providing inpatient psychiatric care at a 70+ bed adult behavioral health facility. The psychiatrist will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat adult patients requiring inpatient psychiatric services.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency
- Eligible for an Ohio medical license
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing adult psychiatric care preferred
- Inpatient Psychiatry experience preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and collaborative skills
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult patients with psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing patient assessments
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Manage psychiatric medications and monitor patient response to treatment
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary treatment team
- Participate in treatment planning and discharge planning
- Provide clinical consultation and support as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support continuity and quality of care throughout the inpatient stay
