About The Position
A pharmacy technician supports pharmacists in preparing, distributing, and managing medications for patients in an acute care setting. The technician prepares and packages medication orders, compounds sterile and nonsterile preparations, replenishes medication inventory in the pharmacy and on patient units, delivers medications to patient care areas, maintains accurate medication-related records, and upholds regulatory and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a hospital pharmacy technician.
- Experience using office software computer applications and keyboarding.
